Games Releasing October 28th: Professor Layton

New post I will be making every day as long as there's games releasing of course. Today, October 28th, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask was released only for the Nintendo 3DS.

North America is one of the last places to receive this installment of the Professor Layton series with Japan having the game since February 26, 2011. In Europe they got it on October 26, 2012 and Australia got in on October 27, 2012. We all had to wait a total of one year and eight months since the release was made in Japan, but it's all good.

Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask is a puzzle platforming game developed by the independent Level-5 studio in Japan. You are asked to go to the Carnival City of Monte d'Or to discover the mystery behind the masked man. In the trailer it is said that whoever wears the mask gets all this great power so the man raises many suspicions. There will be a ton of puzzles to keep you occupied, you will need to talk to a lot of people in the game to discover the whole mystery behind the mask.

I went on the Nintendo eShop and could not find a demo to try out the game, so don't have an opinion on the actual game at this point. I would love to try it out though. You do get little previews of what to expect in terms of the puzzles on the site, I would want to see more though. For an entire year, starting October 28th the developers will be making daily puzzles for you to download off the Nintendo eShop. You can demo some of the puzzles on their official site.

Have you played the previous versions of the game?  How about the iOS game Layton Brothers:Mystery Room? Of course it has only been released in Japan so far though. Post on the game releases will come a lot sooner, most likely will become the first post of the day.
