Humble eBook Bundle Added more Books

The Humble Bundle site has added five more books to their current eBook bundle.

The five books are XKCD volume 0, Save Yourself, Mammal!, The Most Dangerous Game, Attack of the Bacon Robots, and finally Epic Legends of the Magic Sword Kings. The average contribution has gone up to $13.11 and there is only about 7 days left. 

XKCD Volume 0 is a collection of popular webcomics, that are little comedic strips about everything. Save Yourself, Mammal! is another hysterical  collection of webcomics based off the Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal (SMBC) site that has been going for ten years. The Most Dangerous Game is also from the SMBC site, but only focuses on the 2011 year. The fourth webcomic book Attack of the Bacon Robots is based off the Penny Arcade site that writes comics related to video games. Epic Legends of the Magic Sword Kings continues to the story by being volume 2 of the Penny Arcade series.

Plus you will get the original eight eBooks that were being offered. One can never have too many books to read.

Humble Bundle is known for their game bundles where you pay as much as you want for the collection. The amount contributes to the site itself, the developers, and to charity.

The demo for the upcoming Lego The Lord of the Rings was just released for the Nintendo 3DS. Not yet available to download on any other systems as far as I can tell. Lego The Lord of the Rings is set to release on October 30th.

Hawken heading to Closed Beta

Hawken has just announced at midnight pacific time on Twitter that it is stepping into its closed beta stage on October 26th until October 28th at midnight.

Star Wars: Angry Birds Release Date and Trailer

The upcoming Star Wars: Angry Birds set to release on November 8th has just come out with its first trailer. A very enjoyable 25 second announcement sort of trailer. No actual gameplay shown in trailer.

Dead Space Inspired Art

One thing I love to see is in game items recreated in the physical world. An inspiration from the horror game Dead Space, I am grateful that the artist decided to bring out the Plasma Cutter instead of the Necromorphs.

Humble Bundle Reader

This is the first time I have seen Humble Bundle offer eBooks. Always seen bundles of games plus the soundtracks for said games. I like this direction.

One of the things I love to do is read a good book. I just purchased American Gods by Neil Gaiman, so I'll be reading that first then moving on to these eight books.

Neil Gaiman has a book in the bundle, so I had to make the purchase. There's so many other great authors in the deal Cory Doctorow, John Scalzi, Paolo Bacigalupi, and many more. The eBooks all seem to revolve around the science fiction fantasy genre.

Hoping that Humble Bundle will continue to do this for future bundles. The books would usually cost around a total $52, but right now the average is around $12.04. There is only 13 days to take advantage of this deal and help out charity.

Three day PAX East Passes are gone

At 1:58 pm @Official_Pax tweeted out that there are no more three day passes available. Single day passes still remain, but for all three day it would be a total of $105.

Call of Duty Map Favela Removed

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 developers, Infinity Ward, removed the multiplayer map Favela. Video, Message to Infinity Ward From Muslims, was posted on YouTube on October 2nd explaining why the map was offensive to their religion.

Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn Premiered

The Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn live action series was premiered on Machinima's YouTube channel Machinima Prime October 5th. The link to the video is here: live-action Halo series. Go and watch a whole 20 minutes worth of Halo now, its really awesome. You can also watch it from your Xbox 360, you just have to have the YouTube app installed.

End of Nations is an upcoming Free 2 Play massive multiplayer online real time strategy (mmorpg) game developed by Petroglyph that is going into its final closed beta session today October 4th.

Did you purchase NBA 2K13?

NBA 2K13 is the latest game in the NBA 2K series released on October 2nd. The game is available on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC, Wii, PSP, and will be available soon for the Wii U.

If you pre-ordered the Dynasty Edition from GameStop you got the game, controller skin from Skinit, full-sized basketball from Spalding and Art of Basketball,Ink'd ear buds from Skullcandy, and finally the
dlc All-Star add-on content package presented by Sprite. IGN awarded the game a 9.1, lower than its predecessor NBA 2K12 which received a 9.5.

Does this mean you should not purchase the game? No way, if you enjoy basketball than by all means go for it. Most likely going to be one of the best basketball games out on the market right now.

If you ever decide to stop playing the game since you have to leave the house well pull out your android OS and your iOS devices. Take your basketball games on the go with NBA 2K13. The mobile game is available for $7.99 on the iOS app store for both iPad and iPod, also on the android store.

Facebook Game

Plus for those that play games on Facebook there will be a NBA 2K: MyLIFE which will have a more cartoony feel. NBA Jam!!, probably not in that direction. The Facebook game will link off your stats from the console game you purchase. The game follows your player out of the court and into society. Looks like it'll have a lot of social integration.

Mass Effect Trilogy

There has been a Mass Effect Trilogy collection confirmed on the Bioware-Mass Effect site. The trilogy will be available for purchase on November 6th for $59.99. The collection will be available for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and for the PC. No word yet on a Wii U trilogy package, but Mass Effect 3 will be available on the November 18th launch date for the Wii U.
